How Datanow can work at your plant

While we do support other connection protocols, we've chosen MQTT with Sparkplug B as our preferred method because of the following reasons.

A new generation of devices (e.g. Opto-22 and Moxa) support Sparkplug B out of the box. Or use Raspberry Pi or embedded PC hardware with Node Red (free) or Ignition Edge software.

Ready for your older devices

SparkPlug B allows for the addition of existing PLCs and devices. No waiting for equipment upgrades, start using the valuable data inside your existing equipment immediately.

Modern, secure and open

MQTT and Sparkplug B were designed for efficient IIoT data transport over the internet. They're open standards maintained by the OASIS and Eclipse foundations, so there's no vendor lock-in and a growing list of software tools you can use.
